Featherweight solo backpacking tent
Most ultralight shelters are fairly spartan. The Hornet is different, offering greater comfort and living space on the trail without adding weight. Its minimalist design utilises a single hubbed pole construction for quick set-up. New OSMO fabrics provide weather protection and enhanced performance. As well as being 100% recycled, this fabric is more eco-friendly and 20% stronger than the previous version, with 4 x better water repellency and 3 x less stretch when wet. Triangular corner struts and a unique lightweight pole clip increase the internal volume while shaving grams. It all results in a tiny package that still boasts genuine liveability for solo hikers, plus the weather resistance of a double-skinned design.

- Packs into rectangular Divvy Cube stuff sack with separate pole bag, enabling more efficient packing or to split weight between you and a trail buddy
- Two large doors and twin porches provide easy entry/exit and ample gear storage
- Patent-pending Flybar volumizing pole clip adds more room at the head and distributes fly tension evenly
- Volumizing guy-outs connect the inner tent to the rainfly, pulling the sidewalls of the inner tent outward to create more liveable space
- White No-See-Um Mesh sides for privacy, while black mesh at the top turns virtually transparent at night for clear stargazing
- Triangulated volumizing guy-outs and struts at corners increase volume at the foot, protecting sleeping bags from tent wall condensation

The idea of NEMO was born one turbulent night on the side of Mount Washington while Cam Brensinger spent a sleepless five hours in a poorly designed bivy. That night he realised how much opportunity there was for thoughtful design as part of the equation of enjoying adventure. And, coming down off the mountain the next day, he resolved to tackle that challenge. Three days after graduation from Rhode Island School of Design, he founded NEMO Equipment.
